{"id":23,"date":"2007-05-16T02:27:48","date_gmt":"2007-05-16T06:27:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/muthii.com\/blog\/?p=23"},"modified":"2008-08-28T02:04:03","modified_gmt":"2008-08-28T06:04:03","slug":"rest-in-peace-dad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/muthii.com\/blog\/?p=23","title":{"rendered":"Rest in peace Dad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A few weeks ago my <a title=\"Tribute to my father\" href=\"http:\/\/www.muthii.com\/tribute.html\">father<\/a> passed away i cant bring myself to write on it so I got a poem insted to say what i cant for now:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">I looked for you this morning,<br \/>\nI looked for you last night.<br \/>\nI looked for you everywhere,<br \/>\nBut you were not in sight.<br \/>\nMy heart is really breaking,<br \/>\nMy eyes are never Dry.<br \/>\nEach day I ask my maker,<br \/>\nWhy did you have to die.<br \/>\nHe came to you one evening,<br \/>\nWhile you were fast asleep.<br \/>\nAlthough he took you painlessly,<br \/>\nThe pain for me is deep.<br \/>\nI tell you now dear Daddy,<br \/>\nThere is only one thing left for me to do,<br \/>\nAnd that&#8217;s for me to keep your memories alive in my heart!<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"> I always took it for granted my dad would always be there and of all the things i wish i could have told him<br \/>\n only one hurts me that i never got to tell him I LOVE you DAD.<br \/>\nI know with our African culture it&#8217;s just taken for granted that our parents know what we feel for them, but thats not enough I just wish i had told him that the last time i talked with him i still remember his laugh as we talked only a couple of hours before his soul was laid to rest.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A few weeks ago my father passed away i cant bring myself to write on it so I got a poem insted to say what i cant for now: I looked for you this morning, I looked for you last night.
